Hello. After several years of wanting to bring up a Belgian Shepherd dog (Malinois) we are in the position to make the lifelong commitment and start actively looking and taking the steps to find a puppy.nnFactors which played into this drawn out time line included job circumstances (I am now in the position to work from home) and also the age of my son (who will be 12 this year). We have also settled in Balsall Common and have the space and facilities to accommodate a Malinois. I fully understand the demands and expectations this breed places on its owners and believe now is the best time for us to be able to devote our time in socialising and training a puppy. I intend to train the dog and as an active person myself take it on trail runs/bike rides whenever I go out. I am also fully committed to do all the necessary training to meet the dogs intelligence needs and activity levels. The dog will be living in the house with us so we would be enforcing full obedience training and ensure it is fully housetrained as well as enrolling in puppy classes to ensure it will be exposed so as much socialisation as possible. We have a fully fenced/walled garden. nnJust wanted to keep this initial message short and make contact. I have a friend who has a Malinois and was always attracted to the breed and in particular how intelligent and devoted a well trained and socialised dog it can be. Growing up my family always had German Shepherds so I am aware of the large responsibility working dogs can place on their owners but with hard work, patience what amazing companions they can be for the family.nnIf you would like to know anymore information from me please let me know.
